Progression
Across several stages, my path led from Senior Software Developer and Technical Project Lead to overall technology responsibility as CTO, Technical Director and Lead Developer.
Responsibility
Alongside hands-on Java and .NET engineering, the role covered team leadership, technology strategy, technical KPIs, IT budgets and architecture and infrastructure decisions.
Platform
The enterprise commerce platform connected shop, content, customer, document and order processes with bespoke integrations. As technical lead of the backend team and technical project lead, I was responsible for individual solutions and production platform components.
Significance
The technical organisation, platform and engineering teams were aligned for long-term scalability and modern engineering practices.
