Design and development of a digital property valuation platform

Situation

A startup in property valuation required a complete digital platform to be designed and implemented from the ground up. The solution needed to combine valuation workflows, multiple data sources, calculation models and technical operations in one consistent technology landscape.

Responsibility

I was responsible for technical design and delivery of the platform, hands-on software engineering, architecture, cloud infrastructure and the integration of external systems and data sources.

Implementation

A central component was an intelligent property value calculator. It processed a wide range of property, geographic and economic factors together with information from multiple data sources to calculate a current and individual property value.

Beyond the calculation logic, I designed and developed the applications, interfaces, cloud infrastructure and automated delivery processes. The platform ran as a containerised solution on Kubernetes with Google Kubernetes Engine.

Google Cloud Vision API was additionally integrated into the business workflows to analyse property images and identify relevant characteristics.

Result in practice

The result was an integrated digital platform combining valuation logic, data processing, external interfaces, cloud operations and supporting image analysis in one consistent technical solution.
